How to Delete Your Search History

We all have things we don’t want others to know we’ve searched for on the internet. Maybe you were looking up an embarrassing medical condition, or maybe you don’t want your significant other to know you were looking at engagement rings. Whatever the reason, it’s important to know how to delete your search history. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to do it.

##Heading: Safari
If you’re using Safari, open the browser and click on the Safari menu at the top of the screen. From there, select Preferences and then click on the Privacy tab. Under Website Data, click on the Remove All Website Data button. Confirm by clicking Remove Now in the pop-up window. This will delete all of your search history from Safari.

##Heading: Chrome
If you’re using Chrome, open the browser and click on the three dots in the top-right corner of the screen. From there, select History and then click on History again in the drop-down menu. This will take you to a page where you can view your recent history. To clear everything, click on Clear Browsing Data at the top of the page and select All Time from the drop-down menu next to Time Range. Make sure that only Browsing History is checked and then click Clear Data. This will delete your entire search history from Chrome

On your computer

On your computer, open Chrome.
At the top right, click More .
Click History. On the left, click Clear browsing data. A box will appear.
From the drop-down menu, select how much history you want to delete. To clear everything, select All time. Check the boxes for the info you want Chrome to clear, including “Browsing history.”
Click Clear data.

On your mobile device

Open the Safari app.

At the bottom of the screen, tap More.

Tap History.

At the bottom of the screen, tap Clear History and Website Data. If you’re asked for a passcode or to confirm your decision, enter it.

From the Safari app, tap .
Tap History.
Tap Clear History and Website Data, then tap Clear History and Data.
