How to Delete Search History on Your iPhone

Learn how to delete your search history on your iPhone so that your searches are no longer stored.

Open the Settings app

Open the Settings app on your iPhone. Scroll down and tap Safari.

Scroll down and tap Clear History and Website Data.

Tap Clear History and Data to confirm.

Scroll down and tap Safari

If you want to delete your search history, tap the Bookmarks icon at the bottom of the Safari screen. Tap History in the upper left corner of the screen, then tap Clear. You can choose to clear all history, or just selected items by tapping the X next to an entry.

Here’s how to delete your history, cookies, and other data in Safari on iPhone or iPad.

To clear your history and cookies, go to Settings > Safari, and tap Clear History and Website Data. Clearing your history, cookies, and browsing data from Safari won’t change your AutoFill information.

To clear your cookies and keep your history, go to Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data, then tap Remove All Website Data. Doing this could log you out of some sites and you may lose some saved info from sites.

Tap Clear History and Data

You can clear your entire search history, or you can delete specific entries. To delete your entire search history:
-Open the Settings app on your iPhone and tap Safari.
-Tap Clear History and Website Data.
-Confirm by tapping Clear History and Data.

To delete specific entries from your search history:
-Open the Settings app on your iPhone and tap Safari.
-Tap Search History.
-Tap the entry you want to delete, then tap Delete. OR, swipe left on the entry and tap Delete.

Confirm by tapping Clear History and Data

When you’re finished, tap the top left corner of the screen to go back.

To confirm, tap Clear History and Data.
